Arauca Dark Bar
This bright dark chocolate packed in a gold sleeve in homage to Bogota's Museo Del Oro commences with modest hints of chestnut and honey before showing off bursts of red fruit notes. The citric fireworks vanish and leave in the mouth a rounded taste of chocolate that is harmoniously intense and delicate.
Arauca is a department of Colombia shaped by the Casanare and Meta rivers in the extreme north of the Orinico region bordering Venezuela. Its rich soil nourishes many crops such banana, cassava, rice, corn, sesame, fruit trees and fine flavour cacao. The trinitario hybrid beans grown there have retained many traits of the elusive original criollo, the holy grail of cacao. This chocolate starts with modest hints of chestnut and honey before showing off with bursts of red fruit notes. The tangy fireworks leaves a rounded taste of chocolate that is harmoniously intense and delicate. Ever wondered what chocolate fans look like? We did so we set out to take portraits of those partial to all things fine cocoa. We found that the love of chocolate transcends gender, age, ethnicity and style and unite all in pleasure. Our new bar designs showcase portraits of real people and their favourite chocolate bar.
