Lemon Drizzle Milk Honeycomb
Inspired by the old fashioned lemon honeycomb pudding recipe of 1788, our version is very simple: puffed honeycombs with a hint of seal salt are smothered in milk chocolate and drizzled with lashings of white chocolate with natural lemon oil. Fresh, crumbly and chocolatey with a hint of salt: summer in bites.
For those interested in nostalgic cooking, here is an extract from the Art of Cooquery of 1788 with the original lemon honeycomb pudding recipe. These days it is often made with 3 layers: jelly, soft cream and sponge.
