Love them or hate them, coffee beans coated in chocolate polarize chocolate lovers. For those in favour (and we are!), we have selected exceptional Peaberry coffee beans from Colombia and Sidamo region of Ethiopia coated in Colombian dark and milk chocolate.
Nature is wonderfully odd and diverse. Peaberry coffee beans occur when a coffee cherry produces just one roundish bean as opposed to the usual two half-beans. Accounting for less than 10% of any crop, peaberry beans- called the champagne of coffee beans - exhibit a more concentrated, robust flavor, rich aroma and a distinct acidity – brighter yet lighter – than normal coffee beans from the same crop possibly due to drawing more nutrients from the coffee tree whilst growing.
