We are currently only shipping to the UK while we look for new international courier partners to work with.


Sorry but as we sell perishable food products, these cannot be returned and resold. All items purchased from our online store are sold on a non-returnable basis unless defective. Any items received that are incorrect, please do not open them and inform us. We cannot accept a return for any items that are not in their original condition.

While we do our best to minimise the risk of temperature, or damage to your products while in transit, damages can happen unfortunately. Please take photos of the outer box received and ask that the delivery driver signs the proof of delivery as damaged. Alternatively, please refuse the parcel so it will automatically be returned to us. Contact our customer service team should you have a defective product so we can do our best to rectify this.

Please do not return any products to us without our confirmation.

For instances where your chocolates are defective, damaged or contaminated, you may contact us to request a return of your purchase within 14 days of receiving your parcel for a refund or exchange.

Refunds (if applicable):
No refund given or exchange will be offered for change of mind, chocolates that have been opened or tampered with or are not in their original condition, incorrect orders or delivery addresses provided.

Due to the wide range of personal taste preferences and chocolate likes/dislikes, we unfortunately do not offer refunds or replacements for chocolates not to your liking.

Late or Time sensitive orders
Where the delivery partner or us have let you down in not getting your order to you in time, our maximum liability will be a refund of the chocolates once returned to us. Every effort is made to get your order out in good time but we would always advise ordering with plenty of leeway for important dates.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Terms & Conditions 

The following sets out the terms and conditions governing the supply of goods, services and information on and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. These Terms and Conditions, together with our current website prices, delivery details, contact details and privacy policy, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the products to you by us.


We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the products that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us. For business or corporate purchasers with orders of over £500 net of VAT, we may, at our discretion, allow such customers to make payment after receiving an invoice from us. This is subject to satisfactory credit references.

You are not permitted to sell and must not offer for sale or re-sell any of our products.

Artisan du chocolat reserves the right to cancel the contract between us if:

  • we have insufficient stock to deliver the products you have ordered. If this is the case, we will contact you to advise of an availability date or to offer you a substitute product
  • one or more of the products you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error.
  • If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. If you are a business or corporate purchaser but have not paid by credit card you will be refunded by cheque as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.


The prices payable for products that you order are as set out in our website. These prices may vary.


You will be required to pay extra for delivery. Our delivery charges are set out during the order process.

We will deliver the products ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order. It is, however, your responsibility to provide us with accurate delivery address details. We will not check or verify addresses and messages supplied by you.

You will become the owner of the products you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once products have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

The importation or exportation of certain products to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. If the products we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, or if you do not receive the products ordered, we shall have no liability to you other than as set out below. Any complaint must be reported to us within 7 days of delivery. If you notify a problem to us under this clause, our only obligation will be:

  • to make good any shortage or non-delivery
  • to supply and deliver substitute products if your original choice cannot be delivered for any reason
  • to replace any products that are damaged or defective or
  • to refund to you the amount paid by you for the products in question in whatever way we choose.

Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the products in question under clause above.

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.

How do I place an order

Browse through our extensive collections, add the item to your basket, add a free gift message to your order and proceed through the checkout process.

How much is delivery?

Delivery to any UK address starts from £3.95 or free on orders over £60.

Can I claim back the VAT?

For orders being delivered to the UK, VAT at 20% is applied, meaning that these orders are not eligible for a VAT refund. For orders outside of the UK, VAT is not applicable and will be deducted at the final checkout stage - Note, local customs / duty maybe payable on delivery.

Can I deliver to multiple addresses?

Please place each order individually. For large corporate orders, please contact us with bulk orders.

What outer packaging do you use?

We use either plain brown cardboard boxes or Artisan du Chocolat branded cardboard boxes. Where a gift message is given, these are handwritten onto tags attached to the products.

Where do I enter a discount code?

This can be entered at the Checkout. We cannot retrospectively apply any discount codes to orders.

Can I change my delivery address?

Please contact our customer service team if your order has not been despatched. We cannot update an address once the parcel has left us.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit / credit cards including American Express. We also accept Google Pay / Apply Pay.

Do I need an account?

No, you can checkout as a guest or sign up to keep track of all your order history and track your orders.

What paperwork do you include in the parcels?

No paperwork is included at all. Just the chocolates, menu and any gift messages.

Providing the order has not been despatched, please contact our customer service team.

Can I do a Click & Collect?

We are not currently offering this service.


What is the best before date?

Please click on Allergies / Shelf Life tab within any product to view the minimum shelf life we try to give.

Do the chocolates contain alcohol?

While most of our chocolates to not contain alcohol, please always refer to the Ingredients tab on the product, or back of pack label.

Where are your products made?

All of our chocolates are made in Ashford, Kent.

Are your products Vegan, Gluten or Dairy Free?
