ARTISAN ROCKS AT THE Q AWARDS

ARTISAN ROCKS AT THE Q AWARDS
Making luxury chocolate is like making good music; it takes  heart, soul and a lot of dedication. But when done right it becomes a classic.

I NEVER PICTURED MYSELF AS THE ROCKING TYPE. I WAS AN AWKWARDLY SHY CHILD, NOT FITTING WITH COOL PEOPLE.
Still, an invitation to participate and attend the Q Music awards 2016 lured me out of the atelier for an evening with mainly one question on my mind: what do I wear? (Smurfette's factory uniform not quite rocking enough). Our chocolates were to be at every place setting for the formal dinner and awards ceremony in front of Rock legends from Meatloaf to U2 to Ronnie Wood. I arrived at the venue, the glorious Roundhouse in Camden, early afternoon, its exterior  surrounded by paparazzi and fans gathered around the red carpet. Walking down a red carpet in stilettoes was definitely a change from rushing down the corridors of the factory in my safety shoes! As I made my way to the main stage area, I noticed “Artisan du Chocolat” logo displayed on the massive screens. Pride and fear rose immediately. Let's not mess this one up as I take my seat across singers and music moguls, awaiting the end of dinner to see who tucks in our o favour chocs.

The awards began and I cheered and clapped,  especially for Debbie Harry, a strong iconic female, and her Outstanding Contribution to Music Award. And Muse and Bastille. The big thank you for Artisan's contribution to the evening came at the end of the ceremony by DJ Christian O’Connell. And for a shy girl who was never cool, that’s is pretty cool- even if by proxi!

Have a Rocking November!
